The next big trip is fast approaching! Soon we leave the familiarity and routine of normal life to travelling on our tandem. This journey will take us from Kazakhstan through Kyrgyzstan and the far west of China to Pakistan and India, crossing four colossal mount ranges, the Tien Shan, the Pamirs, the Karakoram and the Himalayas. Several nearly 4000m passes will be a challenge to get ourselves and our 65kg loaded bike over them. This intro video explains a little more:

Hi Dave And Warty. Looks like an epic journey. 4000 metres passes are ridiculously high. I’ve only been that high once, on Mount Elgon. Best of luck. I’m sure it will be stunning. Will I be able to follow you on Polarsteps?
